Our Reconciliation Action Plan Journey

We are excited to share that Associated Cleaning is currently in the final stages of completing our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This comprehensive framework will guide our ongoing commitment to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, establishing clear goals and actions that demonstrate our dedication to creating meaningful change.

Our RAP represents months of careful planning, consultation and commitment from across our organisation. It outlines specific initiatives and measurable outcomes that will help us contribute to closing the gap whilst building stronger relationships with Indigenous communities and businesses.

 

Celebrating Indigenous Artistry

As part of our RAP development, we have commissioned original artwork that will feature prominently throughout our Reconciliation Action Plan. This artwork has been created by the talented Lani Balzan, a proud Aboriginal woman from the Wiradjuri people of the three-river tribe.

Lani is an accomplished Aboriginal artist and graphic designer specialising in Reconciliation Action Plans and document design. In 2016, she achieved national recognition as the NAIDOC Poster Competition winner with her artwork ‘Songlines’, which became the 2016 NAIDOC theme across the country.

With over a decade of experience, Lani’s biggest aspiration is to strengthen her connection to her culture and contribute to the journey of reconciliation, bringing people and communities together through her compelling art.
