Indigenous Partnerships
At Associated Cleaning Services, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and are committed to advancing opportunities for First Nations people through meaningful engagement and sustainable employment.
Our commitment and vision
Associated Cleaning is proud to be a formally recognised member of both Reconciliation Australia and Supply Nation. Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (January 2026 – June 2027) has been officially accredited by Reconciliation Australia, marking a significant milestone in our reconciliation journey.
Our vision is to play a positive role in the economic, social, and cultural advancement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a proud Australian-owned organisation headquartered in Brisbane (Meanjin), we believe in long-term partnerships that drive meaningful community impact while aligning with the values of dignity, respect, and equality.
Our reconciliation journey is brought to life through “Shared Journeys“, a custom artwork commissioned from Lani Balzan, a proud Wiradjuri woman and award-winning Aboriginal artist. The artwork symbolises our commitment to walking alongside First Nations peoples on a shared path of respect, transparency, and collaboration.
Pathways and participation
Through our Reflect RAP, we are establishing strong foundations for the future. Our focus is on fostering inclusive, respectful workplaces and creating genuine opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our organisation.
We are committed to increasing Indigenous employment rates, implementing culturally safe recruitment and retention strategies, and promoting talent diversity across all levels of our business.
By collaborating with First Nations partners and communities, we deliver services that reflect and respect the diverse cultures and histories of the communities we serve. Our RAP Working Group drives accountability, cultural learning, and continuous improvement across our operations.
Opportunities with purpose
As a registered Supply Nation member, we are actively building an Indigenous supplier network that contributes to local economies and strengthens ethical, sustainable procurement practices.
Our Supply Nation membership enables us to offer clients a reliable, culturally conscious procurement option aligned with the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP), while supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses across our supply chain.
We are committed to reinvesting in Indigenous-led initiatives, education programs, and grassroots organisations that support cultural preservation, wellbeing, and workforce inclusion. Through our RAP, we celebrate key events such as NAIDOC Week and National Reconciliation Week, promoting awareness and engagement across our entire organisation.
